Live Event & Ceremony Streaming – Frequently Asked Questions

Why can't I make the video full screen straight away?

Before the livestream begins, the player displays a placeholder image rather than the live video itself. Once the event starts, the player switches to a standard video format with full-screen and quality options. Please note that Safari on Mac has limited resolution support - for the best viewing experience, we recommend using Google Chrome.

The livestream has stopped or dropped out - what should I do?

If the stream disconnects or displays an error, refreshing your browser will usually reconnect it. You may need to refresh more than once. While we use multiple internet connections on multiple devides to maximise reliability, occasional interruptions can still occur due to external factors that we simply cannot avoid. If there is a significant outage, a full recording of the event will be uploaded for later viewing.

Why does the stream pause between parts of the service?

Some events include breaks, such as a funeral service followed by a burial or second location. During this time, you may see an interruption message while no live broadcast is active. The stream should seamlessly recommence once we are live and active again, but it is sometimes beneficial to simply refresh the page periodically until the next part of the event begins.

I joined late - can I rewind the livestream?

Live broadcasts can only be viewed in real time, so rewinding isn't available while the stream is live. Once the event has concluded, a replay is typically made available within 24 hours using the same viewing link.

How long will the recorded video be available?

Recorded streams are generally available on demand for at least one month. In many cases, videos remain accessible for up to three months, depending on licensing or copyright restrictions. If you require extended access, please contact us, though re-uploading cannot always be guaranteed.

The audio sounds quiet on my computer — is this normal?

Livestream audio can sometimes appear quieter on laptops and desktop computers due to encoding and device settings. Mobile devices often play audio at a higher volume. You may need to increase your device volume more than usual.

Can I cast or AirPlay the stream to my television?

Yes. Our livestreams are not restricted and you can cast or mirror the stream to your TV using your own Chromecast, Apple TV, or compatible device. Please follow the setup instructions specific to your hardware.
